I specialize in illustrations, logos, and small business branding. You can find my portfolio here, and a little bit about me on the About page here.

  • Illustrations:  I specialize in illustrations in different styles, from modern to fun. I draw graphics from scratch, and have a wide set of commercial stock graphics and fonts to use if you do not have a large budget, so anything (well, almost anything!) is possible.
  • Logos and branding:  If you need a new logo for your site, company, or for a special project I can help. Special packages are available for site wide branding, or even across all of your social media channels. A consistent look across your site and social branding helps create a professional appearance. Many price points are available, from simple text-based logos to complex illustrations. Please fill out this form to request a quote.
  • Graphic design and layout:  Headers, badges, infographics, advertisements, banners, and more.
  • Printed materials:  Business cards, labels, brochures, postcards, programs, banners, and more. I offer print-ready layouts, and can have most printed materials created and shipped directly to you at competitive prices.

I also offer services to help you create, update, or fix your WordPress based site. I have used WordPress as part of my professional jobs, and as part of personal projects, since about 2006 (and have blogged on other platforms, including self-developed ones, since 2002).   • WordPress: I have well over 10 years experience with WordPress, including using it to build a site for a large corporation right down to a simple site for a casual blogger. I can help you create a new WordPress website, update and adjust your existing one, such as applying and/or customizing a new theme. Take advantage of my personal experience as a small business owner, having started and grown several small businesses from the ground up utilizing several e-commerce platforms.   • WordPress maintenance:  I offer simple packages to maintain your website. See this page for details.
  • eCommerce consulting:  I have set up online stores using Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Etsy, and eBay (among a few others). I have read hundreds of resources, and even more time figuring everything out. If you need help or advice to set up your new store(s) and get your products online in an effective way, I can help you select the right platform and get started selling online efficiently.

  • Small business consulting: I have developed dozens of websites, and many of them have been for small business, bloggers, and e-commerce. I can help you form a small business from the ground up, and offer consulting for setting up technical processes, marketing workflows, blogging relationships (sponsors, partners, niche communities, and more), social media channels, and many other related areas. I also have a professional background in community and customer management, from corporation level to small business. Approach, brand consistency, and workflow efficiency are key areas I help you develop.
  • Writing: Do you need articles, content, a new bio, or an e-book? I can also be hired to write learning or marketing content for your site. I have written professionally since 2001, as a contributor/author to about 30 technical books on software that were printed by well-known technical publishers (Wiley, Peachpit, Adobe Press, O’Reilly, Sybex, etc). I have also written educational and promotional content for leading companies and websites in the pet industry.
  • Instructional design: I have a professional background in instructional design, working in this capacity at Adobe Systems and Motorola that included creating, organizing, reworking, delivering complex content sets.
  • Photo and video: I have been taking and editing digital photos since I purchased my first digital camera in 2000. Find a sample of my food photography on PlantBasedRecipe.com. I have taken and edited all of the recipe photos on the website. I also have a background in digital videos, first editing them at Vancouver Film School in 2001 for student projects. Since then I have written a couple books on simple video edits, and have developed my skills further in a variety of capacities. I am available for simple photo and video projects at a reduced rate.
